ODP is the OpenDocument Presentation format used by LibreOffice Impress and Apache OpenOffice Impress — the open-standard counterpart to PowerPoint's PPTX. This tool rasterizes each slide of your deck into an APNG image: every slide is rendered to flat pixels and saved as its own file, so a single-slide deck returns one .apng and a multi-slide deck returns one APNG per slide, bundled together as a ZIP. APNG (Animated PNG) is a PNG-compatible format — a single-frame APNG is, byte for byte, a normal PNG — so you get PNG's full 24-bit color and lossless edges with a container that older tools still open as a static picture.
No. This is the most common surprise, so it is worth being explicit. Although APNG can hold multiple timed frames, this converter does not stitch your slides into one animated loop. It renders each slide to a separate single-frame APNG (effectively a PNG) and, for a multi-slide deck, returns those images together in a ZIP — one image per slide. A five-slide deck produces five APNG files, not a five-frame slideshow. If you want every slide kept together in one scrollable document, convert to PDF with ODP to PDF instead; if you want a flat raster image and care more about universal viewer support, ODP to PNG outputs the same pixels in the plain PNG container.

You can queue several presentations and convert them in one batch.No. Even though the APNG format can store multiple timed frames, this tool renders each slide as its own separate single-frame APNG and bundles a multi-slide deck into a ZIP. A ten-slide deck returns ten image files, not a ten-frame animation. The conversion captures the final visual state of each slide; it does not turn slide transitions into APNG animation. To keep slides together in one file, use ODP to PDF.
For a single slide there is effectively none. A single-frame APNG is byte-compatible with PNG: it uses the same lossless DEFLATE compression, the same 24-bit truecolor, and the same 8-bit alpha channel, and it opens as a static image in any viewer that supports PNG. The APNG container only adds value when a file carries multiple frames — which, as explained above, this converter does not produce. If you want zero ambiguity and the broadest tool support, ODP to PNG writes the identical pixels in the plain PNG container.
They are not carried over. Rasterizing flattens each slide to a single picture, so build animations, slide transitions, embedded video, and presenter notes all disappear — you keep only the final visual state of every slide. Text is flattened to pixels too, so it is no longer selectable or editable. If you need the live presentation behavior, keep the deck in ODP; to at least preserve slide order in one document, export to PDF.
DPI sets how many pixels each slide is rendered at, so it controls both sharpness and output dimensions. 72 or 96 DPI yields small, screen-sized images; 300 DPI is the recommended default and looks crisp on high-resolution displays; 600 DPI and above target large-format output and produce much bigger files. Higher DPI also takes longer to process. Because APNG is lossless, raising DPI improves real detail rather than just bitrate.
For lossless flat graphics — charts, diagrams, logos, text-heavy slides — APNG and PNG are interchangeable in quality and both keep edges razor-sharp; PNG has marginally wider tooling support, so it is the safer default. Choose JPG only for photo-heavy slides where a smaller file matters more than crisp text, since JPG's lossy compression softens edges and adds halos around lettering. See ODP to JPG for that route.
