An .odg is an OpenDocument Graphics drawing from LibreOffice Draw or Apache OpenOffice Draw: vector shapes, connectors and text frames held as XML inside a ZIP. DivX is MPEG-4 Part 2 video, the codec that made feature-length downloads fit on a CD in the early 2000s and that DivX-certified DVD and Blu-ray players still decode from a USB stick. This converter renders your Draw document and encodes the rendered pages as held frames in a silent clip. The output is DivX video in an AVI-family container under the .divx name. Whether that is the right target depends entirely on what is going to play it.

The short version: DivX buys you one thing, which is acceptance by hardware built around it. Everywhere else, H.264 in an MP4 is smaller, sharper per byte and playable.
.divx clips and the new file has to behave like the rest..odg — a rendered frame has none of them..odg onto the page or click "+ Add Files". The whole Draw document is read, so multi-page files need no preparation.A .odg is a page-layout document, so it goes through the office route rather than an image converter:

Because the render follows the page's physical size, a US Letter page arrives near 2550 × 3300 px and A4 near 2481 × 3507 px — portrait, and much larger than any DivX player expects. Setting "Video resolution" to 720p or 480p is usually the single most useful change you can make here.
No. Each rendered page is held on screen as a still frame — the result is a static picture in video form. By default each page holds for about five seconds; the Image Duration setting changes that from a single frame up to ten seconds per page. If you need real movement, it has to exist in the source, and a drawing has none.
Historically all three, which is why the name is confusing. DivX began as a codec implementing MPEG-4 Part 2, grew into a certification programme for players, and lent its name to a file extension. The file this page writes is DivX-coded video in an AVI-family container carrying the .divx extension — which is exactly what DivX-certified hardware is built to read.
Every page is rendered and becomes a held frame inside one clip, in page order. The office stage exports the entire document to PDF first, so nothing is skipped and there is no need to split the file. If you would rather have separate pictures, ODG to PNG returns one image per page.
Because an OpenDocument drawing carries no audio. The container would happily hold an MP3 track in normal use; there is simply nothing in the source to encode. Add narration or music afterwards in a video editor such as Shotcut or Kdenlive.
You lose scalability more than sharpness. The page is rendered at 300 DPI first, so there is real detail, but MPEG-4 Part 2 is a lossy codec and thin strokes and small type are where its artefacts show first. Keep the quality rung high and choose a resolution large enough that labels stay legible — you cannot sharpen a rasterised frame afterwards.
Because MPEG-4 Part 2 — like every video codec — has no alpha channel. Transparent regions are flattened onto an opaque background before the frame is encoded, and the same fill covers any bars where the page's shape does not match the frame. Set the Background Color deliberately if that fill will be visible — it opens on White, or use ODG to PNG when real transparency is the requirement.
For most purposes, yes. ODG to PNG gives a lossless picture of each page; ODG to PDF keeps the vectors so the drawing prints crisply at any size and its text stays selectable. Convert to DivX only when a player or a pipeline genuinely requires a video file in that format.
.divx file play on my computer?Almost certainly, though not always by double-clicking. VLC, mpv and MPC-HC open it directly; Windows Media Player and some stock players may need the file renamed to .avi, since the container is AVI-family regardless of the extension. Browsers and phones generally will not play it at all — ODG to MP4 is the route for those.
