Why Convert Images to VOB?

VOB (Video Object) is the container format used inside the VIDEO_TS folder on every DVD disc. It stores MPEG-2 video with MP2 or AC3 audio in a structure that DVD players can read directly. Converting images to VOB creates DVD-ready video content from still photos — useful for creating photo slideshow DVDs, memorial discs, event compilations, and any content destined for playback on standalone DVD players.

  • Memorial discs — Compile photos into a VOB video for memorial or tribute DVDs that play on any DVD player.
  • Event compilations — Turn conference, graduation, or party photos into DVD-ready video content.
  • Legacy device playback — VOB is the only format guaranteed to play on every standalone DVD player.
What is a VOB file?

VOB (Video Object) is the primary data file on a DVD-Video disc. It contains MPEG-2 video, audio (MP2 or AC3), subtitles, and navigation data. VOB files are stored in the VIDEO_TS folder on DVD discs.

What image formats are accepted?

Over 35 formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, HEIF, GIF, BMP, PSD, EPS, ICO, PPM, TIFF, and RAW camera files from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic, Hasselblad, and more.

What resolution should I use for DVD?

Standard DVD resolution is 720×480 (NTSC) or 720×576 (PAL). Use the Resolution presets or enter exact dimensions to match your target DVD standard.

Can I merge multiple photos into one VOB?

Yes. Select "Merge images" under Merge Strategy. All uploaded images are combined into a single VOB video in upload order, with each image displayed for the duration you set.

How long should each image display?

For a comfortable slideshow, 3–5 seconds per image is typical. Use shorter durations (1–2 seconds) for fast-paced montages or longer durations (7–10 seconds) for detailed photos.
